Karen Weaver has been active in the Cleveland music community for more
than 25 years as a singer, choral conductor, and private voice
instructor. She holds a bachelor's degree in voice performance from
Wittenberg University and a master's degree in choral conducting from
Cleveland State University. She currently studies voice with David
Gooding, and her continuing education has included participation in a
conducting workshop led by Robert Page, and the completion of the
VoiceCare Network Impact Course. In addition to being the founding
director of Good Company, Karen is the artistic director of Windsong,
Cleveland's Feminist Chorus, and has served as director of the
Cleveland Messiah Chorus and as a soloist with the Bach and Handel and
Choral Arts Societies of Cleveland. She has sung with numerous church,
synagogue, and community choruses including the Fairmount Temple Choir,
the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus, the Old Stone Singers, and the Robert
Page Festival Chorus. She has held Director of Music posts at several
area churches, and is presently the director of the Chancel Choir at
Lakewood Presbyterian Church. Karen maintains a private voice studio
in her home. |
